Corrado Peronelli

Corrado Peronelli got a diploma at the "F. Morlacchi" Conservatory of Perugia in Choral Music, Chorus Conducting and in Composition with Maestro Roman Vlad and at the "A. Casella" Conservatory of L'Aquila in Orchestral Conducting under Maestro Nicola Samale. He then specialized with Franco Ferrara and with Zoltán Peskó. He performed many concerts, both as choirmaster and orchestra conductor; as conductor, he made several recordings for RAI TRE.

His compositions are well appreciated and some of them have been selected as compulsory pieces in some national piano competitions. Corrado Peronelli also performed many concerts in duo with his wife, Gabriella Rivelli, presenting his transcriptions for songs and film music for piano four hands. In 2002 he was invited to both the Festival Valentiniano in Terni and the International Peace Festival in Assisi (2002 and 2004). He currently holds a Chair in Theory and Solfeggio at the Institute of  High Arts and Music  "G. Briccialdi"  of Terni; since 2004, he holds the Course of Music Analysis and the Course of Ear Training for II Level Academic Degrees.


Since 1989 he is a member of the Artistic Commission of the "Piccole Mani – Pietro Squartini" National Piano Competition of Perugia. For years he has started to study neuromuscular structures and in particular the hands of instrumentalists, by devising new techniques to improve their neuromotor functions. His invention, Khyroercolina (KHYROS), was largely praised by many scientists. He was invited to present the results of his researches in several conferences all over Italy. peronelli@tiscali.it
